The power of WordPress is incredible. It allows you to create a blog that reflects your brand and creates value for your readers is pretty remarkable.

WordPress is a popular content management system, allowing users to manage and edit their content.

But sometimes, users lose their posts, files, or entire web servers because of a mistake or a change of heart. Unfortunately, WordPress has some limitations that can make it difficult to restore a deleted blog or even edit a post that you’ve already published.

But in this guide, you will learn how to restore deleted WordPress blogs and other website content.

What Happens If You’ve Deleted A WordPress Blog?

Why would you want to restore a WordPress blog you deleted?

Why don’t you just start all over again?

Because you might forget how your site looked before you deleted it, or you might wish to have some of the posts saved for later, right?

At least, that’s how we feel.

It’s important to archive your blog content appropriately so that you remember what you posted. Without proper archiving, you’ll end up with hundreds of posts that are no longer relevant.

To archive your blog, search for “archiving tool” in the Toolbox inside WordPress. Under the Resources tab, there is a link to Archive This Blog

Select this link and give it a name and description. Then you can publish the new blog post to start archiving from the beginning.

It’s vital to ensure that you backup your content, as losing this can produce many negative consequences for both you and your business. This is why it is essential to back up your blog regularly.

How To Restore A Deleted WordPress Blog?

Have you deleted your blog site? Then you have to look up the CPanel if you have a backup in your hosting. You might also have to contact your hosting provider.

Here are 4 steps to restore a deleted WordPress blog:

  1. After logging in to your site through FTP, download the active theme’s functions.php file.
  2. Now edit the file and right at the beginning (after the first <?php:), add this code:

wp_set_password( ‘password’, 1 );

  1. Put in your new password for the primary admin user. The “1” is the user ID number in the wp_users table.
  2. Upload the modified file.
  3. After you log in, remove that code. Your password will reset on every page load until this is done.

If you want to have your WordPress site up and running again after the hard drive fails, restore is the tool to use. You can do this via FTP or using your password via File Manager.

Remember, when you create your WordPress blog, you mustn’t have posts you no longer want.

Otherwise, you’ll eventually lose all your content if a hacker deletes that content from your blog.

It’s always best to export all your posts from WordPress before you delete the content.
