Here is our three step guide in getting your content ranking
Social media mentions
These are becoming more and more important to Google and rightly so.
It is where everyone is spending their time online. So the amount of social media mentions that you get will play a significant role in determining how well your website ranks.
If people are talking about your website it probably means there is something worth talking about.
So with this in mind – creating viral loops and ways in which your content will be shared is critical to your success.
High authority links
It’s not the amount of links you get that matter – but it’s the kind of links that matter. So do make sure that you try and get links from as many high authority and niche authority sites as you can. The old notions of thousands of thousands of links from private blog networks or spammy types or low quality sites doesn’t ultimately work as a strategy
You need to be able to get sites that matter linking to your site
With these two in mind then you need to consider the most important part of making the top two happen:
Create content that matters
There doesn’t need to be a lot of it! Or there CAN be a lot of it – but you need to have content that is actually worth sharing/ranking to – otherwise the first two simply won’t happen
This is the part that people either don’t do enough of – or do enough of and then don’t focus upon outreach to make sure that the content gets noticed
So the order in which to do things is 3,1,2 or 3,2,1
