?Newsflash: NOT all backlinks are created equal.
You may already know that, but some people don’t understand DA, PA, PR and other SEO metrics.?
If you start building backlinks without understanding what a “good” backlink is and what a not so good backlink is, you are not going to see the results you might like to see.
Use sites like:
to check various search metrics and see which links would be worth going after.
You could get 10 backlinks that are good metrics and outrank a site that has 1,000 horrible links to their website.?
Also, before launching your backlinking campaign it is vital that you make sure that your on-page SEO is up to Pearl Lemon. Double check for things such as mobile friendliness, and page speed.
In this post, I’m going to share with you three link building techniques that ACTUALLY work.
#1: Guest posting
Guest posting is a great way to drive new traffic to your site.
If you do it right and create relevant, trustworthy, valuable content – you’ll build your reputation within the industry as an expert or a thought leader.?
Of course, you’ll need to post on your own site too, but blogging on sites that already get millions of views is a fantastic way to draw in traffic to your site. ?
I am to do this on a regular basis. For example, I contribute to the SEMrush community
And here I have a link to my agency…
Guest posts are mutually beneficial think of it this way, the platform you write for gets relevant content that their readers will engage with and in return, you get a bit of ‘free’ advertising.
#2: Create infographics
Infographics are HIGHLY shareable
Just to emphasise this point a bit more, there are sites that are designed to publish infographic content!!
When you think of it, it makes sense that they are so appealing -they condense key information into easy digestible chunks, that can be consumed in a matter of seconds.
Put simply, infographics get a TON of social shares and likes.
#3: Regularly post on Quora
Quora gets 1.5+ million visitors per month, so it is well worth leveraging this platform to promote your service and demonstrate your expertise.
This works somewhat like guest posting.
Here are three steps to get you started on Quora:
- Find questions most related to your industry
- Provide valuable well-researched answers with engaging copy and images
- Where relevant, include links to your site so that the reader can get more information.
This is also a great way to build up your reputation in the industry if you consistently produce great content on a regular basis.
That’s all folks, I hope you enjoyed reading this post!
