What is Comment Convert?
Comment Convert is one of many automation tools for Facebook. This automation tool will automatically send a message to anyone who comments on your post.
For instance, – you make a post on your business page and someone comments, this automation tool will automatically message that person with a message you have created if that person fits in your target audience.
This is a phenomenal way to reach out to your audience and to engage with them. This tool makes sure that you are touching base with a potential lead from the moment they leave a comment.
When the message pops up, they can choose to respond or close it. If they respond – you catch a lead and can follow-up with them.
How and Why I Use It
First is how I use it—business page management.
I use it to manage my business page. It’s crucial to always make that initial contact and reach out to a potential lead who comments on your post.
What if you aren’t online? That lead moves on and loses interest.
If you touch base first, then people are more willing to talk to you with a follow-up later.
Now why I use it, it’s pretty simple:
- I want to be in contact with people who comment on my business posts.
- I want to improve the relations between me and my audience on my business account.

#1: Make a Campaign
With Comment Convert, you get a free 7-day trial to see if this automation tool is something you like. You do need to have a Facebook account to use this tool. It will be your login information.
This automation tool is very simple to use and setup. Creating a campaign takes only 5 steps to complete!
The first thing to do is to sign-up/sign-in, and you’ll be taken to your campaigns. As you can see, I have none, but I do have 2 days left on my trial. My recent campaign ended, so this is the perfect time to start a new one.
1. Select Create a Campaign.
2. Click on the Select Page bar and then select the page you want to promote.
3. It will then show you a list of posts from that page. You can select any post you want to start a campaign on. Pick your post and select Create Campaign.
4. Comment Convert gives you the ability to insert the first name and last name to make your message personal. Make your message matter. This is the first interaction you will be making, so you want it to be a good one.
5. You can set a delay from when the message will send and when they will receive it. You can include and exclude keywords for search results as well. Once you are finished, press create, and that’s all.
Now, it’s time to see it in action!
#2: Test the Campaign
It’s important to test your campaign. You don’t want anything to go wrong, so if you can’t log in to another account – have a friend do it for you.
The reason you’ll want to test your campaign is:
- to catch errors in your message
- to see if there is a bug/glitch in the program
- make sure it’s working properly
- test the keywords and time delay
- make sure it’s engaging
You want to try and catch as many issues with your campaign as you can BEFORE you launch it to your audience. Otherwise, you could find yourself with an angry audience or a campaign that doesn’t work.
After testing our campaign – we can see that the message was sent with no issues to the person who commented. This is what you want to have happen with your campaign. Automatic engagement that you can follow-up with later.
#3: Gives the Best Leads
The reason this tool gives the best leads is that it finds the audience members who are engaging with the content. By leaving a comment on your YouTube video, they will receive an automated message from you.
They then choose to respond to the message or delete it. If they do respond to the message, this is a lead you can follow-up on.
Automating your comments to receive messages, helps you to discover the people who are not interested or engaged. It will singlehandedly find who wants your product and who doesn’t, just by messaging your commenters.
